EMBER & OAR/POCONOS GUIDE
BUILT FOR GROUPS THAT ACTUALLY TRAVEL TOGETHER

A family lake house in the Poconos with room to spread out.

Large-group listings can look good on a bedroom count and still feel cramped once everyone arrives. Ember & Oar is arranged across three levels, with multiple gathering zones, real indoor entertainment and enough outdoor space for the group to split up and reconnect throughout the day.

Sleeping space across three levels

The main floor has a queen suite with its own full bath. Upstairs are a queen bedroom, a family bedroom with a separate queen and twin-over-twin bunk, an upper hall bath, and an open loft with a queen-bottom/twin-top bunk. The lower level has a king suite beside a full bath and direct access toward the covered deck and hot tub.

Additional sleeping space comes from a queen futon in the garage game room and a queen sleeper sofa in the great room. The layout gives families a mix of private bedrooms and flexible overflow space rather than concentrating everyone in bunk rooms.

02

Two game rooms matter when the weather changes

The main lodge-style game room includes a pool table, foosball, bar seating, smart TV and electric fireplace. The heated converted garage game room adds ping-pong and the queen futon. Board games, children’s toys and smart TVs provide more low-key options.

That indoor depth is useful in every season: summer thunderstorms, cold winter evenings and the hours when part of a large group wants something to do without driving anywhere.

03

A kitchen and dining setup meant for a crowd

The kitchen is deliberately stocked with cookware, dishes, stainless appliances, a dishwasher and a coffee station with both Keurig and drip options. A large farmhouse dining table anchors the main dining area, with an additional kitchen table and another dining setup in the screened sunroom.

A second refrigerator in the garage game room adds useful overflow for a larger group. Linens, bath towels and basic bath products are provided so families do not need to pack the house around the house.

04

Family-friendly does not mean party house

The reserving guest must be at least 28 and present for the stay. The community is quiet and family-oriented, with 9 PM quiet hours and no parties or events. Up to two disclosed dogs are permitted subject to the property’s pet rules.

The combination is intentional: enough space and activities for a large family group, with clear expectations that protect the lake setting and full-time neighbors.
